Description

An attractive pair of small Chinese jars and covers, decorated with overglaze famille rose enamels, and dating from the Qianlong period. The bodies and lids have been shallowly moulded with a petal decoration before the famille rose decoration of flowers and foliage has been painted.  Height including lids 10.5cm (4.1)

An appealing pair of covered jars, quite unusual.

Date: Qianlong (1736-1795)

Condition:

The jars and covers are in very good condition.  Both jars and one cover are in excellent undamaged condition. One lid has a shallow chip from the underside of the rim - please see final image. There is some fritting around the rim of one of the jars. There is wear to the applied gilding around the rims and on the knops.
