A nice example of a Dutch-decorated Chinese export saucer dating from the Yongzheng period c1730. The saucer was imported to Europe as a plain, undecorated blank and this was then enamelled in Holland with a central basket of flowers and with two further baskets of flowers around the rim alternating with scenes of a man fishing. Diameter 11.6cm (4.6").
This type of Dutch decoration is known as Amsterdams Bont after one of the main centres of enamelling of these wares
Dating: Yongzheng c1730
Excellent, undamaged condition. There is one very small firing flaw near the rim. The enamelled decoration is in excellent condition.
