Description

An attractive Chinese export bowl, originally imported into Europe with underglaze blue decoration in the late Kangxi or Yongzheng period c 1720 - 1735.  On arrival in Europe the bowl was decorated on top of the underglaze blue with famille rose enamels and gilding. The outside of the bowl is decorated with baskets of flowers alternating with flowers in roundels.  The interior of the bowl is decorated with a single large flower spray. Diameter 14.8cm (5.8"), height 6.5cm (2.6")

Condition
This bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration.  The base has a firing flaw which does not extend through the body, and is not visible from the front of the bowl.  As can be appreciated, the enamels are also in very good condition with only minor rubbing and loss inside the bowl.
